The Cream of the Tech Sector
Southampton Science Park companies are confirmed as ‘the cream of the South Coast tech sector’ after dominating the line-up of finalists for the 2023 South Coast Tech Awards.
Eleven out of the thirteen awards categories feature a shortlisted company that is a current or former Science Park resident. Many have participated in the Science Park business accelerator programme Catalyst.
These companies that have been recognised for their innovation prowess and contribution to the region’s tech economy are:
Emerging Tech Company of the Year: CanSense Group, Filament AI, KOIOS Data
Health Tech Company of the Year: CanSense Group, Lifelight
High Growth Tech Company of the Year: Tekever
Innovative Tech Company of the Year: CanSense Group, Lifelight, Renovos Biologics
Science and Tech Company of the Year: AccelerComm, CanSense Group, Lifelight
Sustainable Tech Company of the Year: Kelda Showers
Tech Employer of the Year: IT Dev
Tech Leadership Team of the Year: AccelerComm
Tech SME of the Year: Fresh Relevance
Tech Start Up of the Year: AddTime, CanSense Group, Renovos Biologics
South Coast Tech Company of the Year: Absolar Solutions
Commenting on the tough task faced by the judges in selecting finalists and winners, Jo Whittle, Operations Director at The Business Magazine said, “We were delighted to receive over 120 entries this year. As always, with such a high volume and standard of entries judging was difficult and some tough decisions had to be made. Our finalists represent the cream of the South Coast tech sector, and we look forward to recognising their achievements.” 
Winners will be announced at a gala dinner on 12 October and the Science Park team wishes them all tremendous luck on the night.
