Working from home
In line with the latest Government direction relating to the Covid-19 pandemic, many Southampton Science Park facilities have now been closed, with the vast majority of company staff working from home.
We are liaising closely with those resident businesses that are considered essential to the national health resilience plan, to ensure that their important work is not interrupted, and that their key workers can continue to work safely on site. All necessary additional precautions for their safety and security have been taken.
Whether on-site or at home, our resident businesses remain open for business, as technology comes into its own to play a critical role in enabling the important, innovative work that our community conducts to continue apace. We know, from conversations that we are having with many of these businesses, that their teams are working really hard – not just to survive, but to thrive.
Challenging times are almost always precursors to spectacular breakthroughs and new ways of thinking and working. The Science Park team very much looks forward to welcoming our creative, entrepreneurial community back in due course, and to learning of the ideas and discoveries that they return with: innovations that, we have no doubt, will drive their businesses, and society, forward.
