Southampton Science Park company Tekever has unveiled AR5, its ground-breaking new maritime unmanned aircraft system (UAS), at the Farnborough Airshow 2018 with daily flights over the Atlantic live streaming images to the company’s stand.
A tactical UAS designed for medium and long-range maritime surveillance missions, Tekever Air Ray 5 is the most advanced medium altitude, medium endurance fixed wing UAS available. As such, it has a wide range of potential applications to support armed and security forces around the world. These include: search and rescue missions, monitoring maritime pollution and detecting oil spills, identifying and helping to prevent illegal activities such as piracy and terrorism, supporting fisheries inspections and patrolling maritime borders.
AR5’s airborne superiority and advanced technology offers powerful target acquisition capabilities, reliable communication functionality and on-board intelligence to track specific static or moving elements of interest and it relays day and night imagery in real-time.
