Mytender.io Makes History
Fresh from completing Southampton Science Park’s Catalyst business accelerator programme, we are delighted that mytender.io has secured seed investment of £250,000 from Fuel Ventures. Making history, this is the highest sum to be invested in a start-up founded by undergraduates from the University of Southampton to date.
Founded by students Jamie Horsnell and Samuel Aaron, mytender.io is an AI-driven bid writing platform that transforms tendering processes in the construction and facilities management industries.
On leaving the Catalyst programme, the start-up had already secured over 20 clients. They are currently working to build their team, having employed one full time employee, a salesperson and two interns, and have their sights set on overseas expansion.
Jamie commented, “This investment will allow us to rapidly scale up our sales and marketing activity and further develop our system. It allows Sam and I to keep living the dream of building a massive business together out of university and aid our goals for mytender.io to become one of the biggest pieces of bid writing software in the world.”
Mark Pearson, Managing Partner at Fuel Ventures, said, “Samuel and Jamie have demonstrated impressive ambition and innovation with mytender.io. Their unique approach to automating bid writing with AI has the potential to significantly disrupt the industry, and we are excited to support them in realising this vision.”
