An Invitation to Collaborate
The Future Towns Innovation Hub (FTIH) has launched a digital collaboration platform to complement its physical collaboration space located within Southampton Science Park’s Engineering Centre. FTIH’s goal is to bring people together to solve place-based problems to create happy, healthy, prosperous towns and cities.
The idea for the new online platform is that everyone can get involved and make a difference by helping to co-create solutions. Anyone can contribute challenges or suggest potential approaches to tackling them, perhaps through sharing knowledge and best practice, connecting people or simply joining discussions.
Challenges are grouped into five broad themes: sustainable development, smart mobility, digital connectedness, community wellbeing and inclusivity, and innovation and entrepreneurship. For example, How can we better use data to support our high streets? Is it safe to swim in our rivers? and How can we design zero-waste communities?
With so many brilliant minds working here at the Science Park and so many groundbreaking technologies being developed, this initiative by the Future Towns Innovation Hub is another fantastic opportunity for our innovation community to network, collaborate and grow.
