Trade Commissioner of Canada Visits the Park
On 22 May, Southampton Science Park was delighted to host Nadine Storey, Senior Investment Officer and Trade Commissioner at the High Commission of Canada in the UK, part of a trip to the south coast organised by Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and Southampton Chamber of Commerce.
During her visit, Ms Storey met several resident companies and witnessed the wide range of technologies that companies across the Park are involved in.
Ms Storey met with photovoltaic analysts Absolar, space propulsion University spin-out OhmSpace, unmanned aerial systems multinational Tekever, wireless semiconductor company AccelerComm and life science gamechanger Curve Therapeutics.
Welcoming Ms Storey to the Science Park, CEO Robin Chave, said, “It was a great pleasure to introduce Nadine to Southampton Science Park and to show her some of the brilliant companies that are resident here. The investment potential across the tech sector and the export potential of the Canadian market makes collaborative discussions like this extremely valuable.”
Ms Storey commented, “I was delighted to visit Southampton Science Park during my visit to Southampton today, to highlight business opportunities in Canada and to meet some of the Science Park’s most innovative companies in the life science, space and sustainability sectors. Thank you to Robin Chave and the rest of the team at the Southampton Science Park for the support and collaboration.”
