Start-Ups and Sustainability
Southampton Science Park is delighted to be partnering with The Business Magazine for this year’s South Coast Tech & Innovation Awards as sponsor of two categories: Tech Start-Up of the Year and Sustainable Tech Company of the Year.
Robin Chave, Science Park CEO, said, “We are really pleased to be sponsoring two standout categories in this year’s South Coast Tech and Innovation Awards 2024.
“As established advocates for companies working on solutions for a sustainable future, and long recognised for our initiatives in support of start-ups and early stage businesses, these categories perfectly reflect our own endeavours as one of the UK’s leading science parks.
“The innovation scene here on the south coast is incredibly vibrant right now so I know we’re going to be treated to some fantastic entries and judging them will no doubt be tough!”
Entries for these categories, and twelve more, are open for nominations until Friday 14 June.
Judges seek tech start-ups with innovative solutions, strong market potential, a capable team, and a clear path to growth and success. If your company is under 3 years old, or is Series A or pre-Series A funded, and is making waves, then this is the award for you.
Sustainable Tech Company of the Year
ESG is no longer just a label but a critical business consideration. It's essential to integrate climate and sustainability into business models, technology, working practices, and workspaces. Technology is a significant catalyst in this shift. This award recognises companies developing products or services that align with ESG ambitions. Entrants must have in-house developed technology with owned intellectual property, showcasing its contribution to sustainable practices and minimising environmental impact in business.
Finalists will be announced in July, with the gala award ceremony taking place in October.
