Rewarding Business Excellence
Southampton Science Park was delighted to support the Central South Business Awards through sponsorship of the Start-Up of the Year category. This award, in keeping with the Science Park’s ethos of empowering growth, aimed to reward a business that demonstrated the entrepreneurial aptitude, vision, ambition and commercial acumen to build a successful enterprise from start-up.
The winner of this year’s award was revealed as powerQuad, an innovative renewable technology company. Through energy audits, portable power, plug and play energy storage and custom solutions, powerQuad is on a mission to provide access to cheaper, renewable energy for everyone, when it’s needed most.
The Science Park’s Business Development Manager, Lucinda Lamont, said: “We warmly congratulate powerQuad on its success, a worthy winner at a time when there needs to be an ever-greater spotlight on reducing energy consumption. We applaud the team’s efforts to date and look forward to seeing them grow and achieve their goals in the future.”
