Relocating for Growth

Southampton Science Park is pleased to welcome Labl.it to the Innovation Centre in Venture Road. 

The company was introduced to the Science Park through its Catalyst business acceleration programme, as Co-Founder, Sean Larsen, explains: “We were inspired to relocate to Southampton Science Park by seeing how other businesses that have passed through the Catalyst scheme have gone onto grow here. We hope to be one of these!

“Our experience is that the management here are not just friendly, but genuinely interested in supporting the growth of our business. They’ve already demonstrated this by being agile in accommodating our requirements and I’m confident we’ll have options to help us to easily expand our space in the future. Having previously been based in the city centre, it’s also its very nice to be in amongst the trees and greenery at the Science Park; we like having lunch by the pond when it’s sunny!” 

Founded by Sean, along with Rhys Wilks and Kyle Wilks, Labl.it solves a problem for commercial kitchens, where food labelling is a laborious and arduous task, despised by kitchen staff, but all the same a legal requirement enforced by environmental health officers. Labl.it’s innovative all-in-one labelling solution makes the process faster and safer while offering an immediate resource-associated cost-saving to customers. 

The company was delighted to win the prestigious Innovator of the Year Award at Venturefest South 2022, recently.
