Lunch & Learn: Getting 'on top of tax'
‘Business as normal’ it may not be, but here at Southampton Science Park, we continue to work hard to support the Solent business community. We’re delighted to continue our series of interactive online sessions with experts throughout 2021.
TUESDAY 9TH MARCH 2020 – 11.30-12.30
This month, we are delighted to be partnering with BDO - whose team were instrumental in working with the UK government to introduce R&D tax credits - to guide us through the latest thinking on all things tax.
BDO’s Southampton Head of Tax, Jane Mulholland will be joined by Matt Carter, Associate Director - Corporate Tax and Laura Hayward, Personal Tax Director as our speakers for this event, which will explain what the Chancellor’s spring budget means for small and growing businesses here in the South.
They will also consider: could you make more of the opportunities that R&D tax credits present? What grants and investor reliefs are available? What impact will post-Brexit VAT and customs rules have on your businesses? Are there any pitfalls to watch out for when it comes to employee incentive schemes? What do business owners and entrepreneurs need to know about CGT and IHT reforms?
These questions and more will be answered during this free online event. Short but highly informative, practical and immediately deployable, these sessions are designed to ensure that businesses across the region don’t just survive but thrive, bouncing back from challenging times stronger and fitter than ever.
Register now to receive joining instructions. Here you will also have an opportunity to submit any specific questions you may have prior to the event.
