Welcoming new residents
Southampton Science Park is pleased to welcome two new innovative companies.
Pplus Products originally arrived at the Science Park as a start-up joining the Catalyst business accelerator. The company now employs 12 people and is based at the Innovation Centre.
The company’s patented technology is revolutionising the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Fast becoming one of the most useful natural treatments to speed up healing and rejuvenation in the body using the patient’s own plasma, PRP is used extensively in dentistry, orthopaedics, and facial rejuvenation but currently only in the form of injections.
Based on the findings of a peer reviewed study with St Thomas Hospital in London and published in the Journal of Biomedical Science, company founder Dr Mitra Najaf has developed the prototype of a non-invasive, pain-free and more affordable method of using PRP in skincare.
