Getting to Grips with the new Health App Endorsement Process
Tuesday 26th September
There are over 100,000 health apps already, but a perception of low quality is leading to low uptake by patients and health care professionals alike.
NHS England, The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), and Public Health England have worked together to develop an App Endorsement Process, launched earlier this year.
Diarmaid Crean, who has been instrumental in putting this process into action, will talk through the App Endorsement Process, covering who, why, how, when and taking questions.
This is a key opportunity for all those involved in health related app development. Diarmaid Crean is Deputy Director of Digital at Public Health England. He is an international digital innovator in marketing, branding, e-commerce & product development. Always happiest when obsessed with a new opportunity to use digital to assist another business.
This event is being co-organised by the Wessex Academic Health Science Network, which is a statutory body, funded by NHS England, to accelerate innovation into the NHS. The timings of the event are as follows:
17:00-17:30 - Registration (tea & coffee)
17:30-18:30 - Diarmaid Crean "Getting to grips with the new health app endorsement process"
18:30 - Questions, leading into light buffet and networking
Note that tickets for this event are refundable at the event itself. Therefore, if you show up for the event, it's FREE!
