Tonic Analytics are experts in predictive maintenance, smart diagnostics and maintenance operations optimisation. Formed in 2015, Tonic is already delivering game changing solutions for global organisations and businesses. Tonic specialise in data analytics and cloud-based solutions, with deep domain expertise in the aviation industry and a strong focus on ensuring client business outcomes.
“In a nutshell, we solve problems through the intelligent use of digital data, helping to turn the unexpected into the expected,” said one of the Company Founders, Andy Dollin. “For nearly 30 years, our team has been at the leading edge of exploiting the big data analytics revolution to solve real world problems. We chose to come to Southampton Science Park because its location is ideal for the markets we serve and we’re very pleased with our decision.”
vivaMOS design and manufacture large flat panel X-ray detector modules which capture high resolution images at high speed using wafer-scale complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) image sensor technology. This leading edge technology has a host of potential applications including medical equipment in the fields of radiology, computed tomography (CT), and mammography.
vivaMOS was founded in July 2015 as a technology spin-out from the CMOS image sensor group at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL) in the Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC). A desire to find a permanent professional base close to a known talent pool for the semiconductor and electronics industry brought the team to Southampton Science Park.
CEO Dan Cathie said: “We are delighted to have secured a professional laboratory in such an excellent location. We were keen to be located in the Southampton area which is renowned for being able to offer a variety of semiconductor-related functions, services, and talent. The added benefit of a flexible lease which will enable us to expand operations without being held back by facilities made the Park our first choice from the various options we considered. We look forward to a long and successful future here.”
