Science Park installs new electric car charging points

Wed 8th June 2016

The University of Southampton Science Park has a new offering for eco-friendly tenants. Two car charging points have been installed outside the Science Centre, and tenants with electric vehicles will soon be able to plug in to the new facility.
Operations Director Robin Chave commented: “With the use of electric vehicles becoming more prevalent, we recognised the need to install our own car charging points for the use of companies based here. We’re looking forward to staff at the Park being able to charge their cars whilst they work!"
To celebrate the installation of the charging points, Partridge BMW will be on the Park once again on Friday 10th June with their i8 and i3 electric vehicles. The Partridge team will be available to speak to tenants about the benefits of electric cars to businesses and will be offering test drives.
For further information on how to access the car charging points, please email or pop into the Science Park office.
