New Nucleus event to be hosted at Southampton Science Park

Fri 18th September 2015

Hampshire County Council's Economic Development Team, alongside Southampton-based communications agency React Comms, recently announced the launch of Nucleus - a new science and technology themed event created to support burgeoning innovation companies in the region. The event will be held on the 19th of November 2015 as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week and will be hosted at the University of Southampton Science Park. Nucleus will highlight Hampshire’s talent for attracting innovative entrepreneurs, with thought-provoking presentations, participative breakout workshops and revolutionary exhibitor showcases.

Councillor Séan Woodward, Executive Member for Economy, Transport and Environment from Hampshire County Council, commented: “Innovation is at the heart of Hampshire, and Nucleus will highlight the businesses and individuals that create and invent on a daily basis; the people who are putting Hampshire on the world stage as an innovation power house.”

The Nucleus event is free to attend and registration is now open. Simply go to www.hantsnucleus.co.uk to sign up. Here you will also soon be able to book onto a host of workshops and breakout sessions on a wide variety of subjects from attracting business investment to 3D printing and UAVs.

Layla Stacey, Managing Director of React Comms commented: “This is the first event of its kind in the region and we’re thrilled to be a part of it. The whole reason Nucleus has been created is to showcase the technological advances happening in Hampshire and to bring like-minded entrepreneurial spirits together to fuse further innovation. We welcome contributions and attendance from the business community throughout the region.”

There are partnership opportunities available, as well as selected exhibition spaces, all with marketing support.
